Where to Throw Away Your Trash

This project aims to create a personal map of the school campus. Maps often refer to a 2D surface describing a 3D place. Why and how is something personal to me? Does a map have to be functional? Reflecting on my daily life, I realized that I frequently take out the trash produced by my roommate and myself on my way to classes. Trash, often overlooked, contains a lot of personal information and even tells stories of my daily life. This memory can be shared with my roommate, friends, and close relationships as well. Therefore, I selected the dorm where I lived for 2 years as my subject and mapped out where one can throw away their trash. I used my personal trash (and some of my friends') in trash bags to complete the piece.
