This seated VR experience celebrates the Year of the Snake through movement, mythology, and digital abstraction. Inspired by the ancient Chinese legends of Nüwa and Fuxi—snake-bodied deities believed to be the ancestors of humankind—the project utilizes volumetric capture to film a dancer, transforming their movements into an immersive, symbolic journey. Emphasizing abstraction over realism, it blends the fluidity of serpent-like motion with the aesthetics of traditional Chinese ink painting. Vibrant color contrasts and scattered snake imagery evoke a festive atmosphere, bridging cultural heritage with cutting-edge technology.
